Connect and Create with Claire Victoria and Clementine Moon
Hello, I’m Claire Victoria a nature based photographer working to inspire others to bring more nature in to your lives for your health and wellbeing.
Connect and Create is designed to be a safe and welcoming community for women to come together to take time out, slow down and re-connect with themselves, nature and others amongst nature.
Each month we come together at Kingsweston House in Bristol to walk amongst nature, learn how to use photography as a tool to calm the mind, get creative and connect with others whilst we walk and explore.
Throughout the year I collaborate with nature based businesses to bring to you new creative skills and activities to express our individuality and learn how you can live more sustainably in every day life.
Connect and Create sessions are designed to be relaxing, calm and fun. You can join the community here.
Last week I met with Clare Wilder from Clementine Moon to talk over our first collaboration, the Christmas Wreath workshop at Kingsweston estate in Bristol on the 14th December.
Clare set up Clememtine Moon in January 2019 after she was made redundant from her corporate role.
Like many creatives, Clare realised that it was important to her to work in a field where she could express her creativity, follow her passion and provide an income for her family. She loves flowers and so decided to explore creating her own floristry business.
The business has gone from strength to strength and Clementine Moon now specialises in providing sustainably sourced flowers for events, weddings, businesses and to individuals throughout Bristol and the South West, UK..
Clare’s passion for the environment is evident through her floristry work and she loves to inspire and educate others to think about where they purchase their flowers.
Clementine Moon primarily sources sustainable British flowers and works with ethical flower growers that give back to the community too. I could see the passion and dedication that Clare has put in to building this business and just how important it is to Clare to ensure that Clementine Moon is a business giving back and doing good for the community and world that we live in.
Clare told me how all the products used in creating flower bouquets and flower arrangements are sourced responsilbly and ethically and she works to ensure that any waste is minimal. There is no Oasis foam here.
The business is ever evolving with new and innovative ideas to decrease its impact on the environment.
On the 14th December Clementine Moon will be joining me to host a sustainable wreath making workshop designed to bring women together to create a unique and beautiful Christmas wreath for the festive season.
Clare from Clementine Moon will be teaching you traditional techniques using a wonderful selection of wintery foliage to create your own and individual Christmas wreath.
During the workshop there will be a break for a mindful photography walk led by myself where we will be exploring the grounds of Kingsweston Estate and getting creative with your cameras.
A selection of hot drinks and snacks will be available too.
One key point that Clare and I both believe in, is that you are free to express and create your wreath as you desire. There is no right and wrong.
Connect and Create is built on the idea that creativity is a way to express your individuality and I would love for you to embrace this workshop, live in the moment and enjoy the freedom and safe space amongst like minded people to just be you.
Connect and Create Christmas Wreath making workshop is on Saturday 14th December at 9.30am till 1pm at Kingsweston Estate café. Spaces are limited to 10 people.
You can book your space here. or contact me for more information.
