Natural brand photography with mindful photographer Alison Sackett founder of "A natural breathing space"
Alison Sackett is a fellow photographer with a passion for mindfulness, nature and empowering others to connect with their creative selves.
Alison Sackett, owner and founder of “A natural breathing space” got in touch as she was looking to refresh her website and launch a new event at The Bishops palace in Wells, Somerset. Alison is a professional photographer specialising in “mindful photography” which Alison describes as “a way of slowing down, getting outside, appreciating the world around you and encouraging your creativity in a gentle manner”.
Alison and I met one mid week morning in the beautiful spring sunshine for the brand photo session at The Bishops Palace in Wells, Somerset.
Alison was aware of the natural approach I take when capturing clients and she was instantly put at ease and guided me around the beautiful surroundings at The Bishop’s Palace.
A three hour natural brand photography session was split in to two parts.
Initially the first half was spent with Alison as she required some natural imagery of herself, some natural headshots, some photos of Alison exploring the different areas of The Bishop Palace gardens and some photos of Alison enjoying and being at one with nature and her camera.
Alison believes that mindful photography is a natural breathing space in the everyday for each and every one of us and this was vital that we captured this story for Alison in her images to share with her clients and community.
Some willing participants arrive to join the photo session in Wells, Somerset.
Later on during the morning, two keen photographers arrived to feature in Alison’s brand photography. They were more than happy to get involved and enjoyed a gentle, immersive walk around the gardens. The Bishop’s Palace has a variety of settings to explore and we found ourselves enjoying a wide variety of flowers, backgrounds and foliage. The daffodils were in full bloom and Alison and her two friends spent some time being mindful and enjoying the freedom of being creative amongst nature.
As they walked and explored, I gently guided the process and moved around the mindful photography activities.
The aim of this brand photography session was to capture the ease and beauty of being at one with the camera, oneself and nature and at the same time capturing the joy and freedom that creativity and nature offers to each person.
The photography session came to an end in the main garden at The Bishops Palace in Wells, Somerset.
Alison and her two friends were relaxed and content and we finished with big smiles all round. It was a beautiful morning and a wonderful experience to capture Alison’s brand imagery for “A natural breathing space” amongst such a lovely setting. I know Alison’s new mindful photography workshops will be a huge success at The Bishop’s Palace.

Receiving a collection of brand images for “A natural breathing space”
Within one week, Alison had received a collation of the images from her brand photo session ready for her new website and the launch of the new mindful photography workshops and I am very pleased to say that she was over the moon with her images.
